A lot has happened since our last posts about TIB’s new open-access publishing platform (TIB Open Pubishing), our standards, and our infrastructure – so it is high time for an update.

The TIB’s new open-access publishing platform offers publication services for journals and conference publications, implementing international best practices based on the DOAJ Seal, OASPA membership criteria, Plan S, and COPE.

Die neue Open-Access-Publikationsplattform der TIB bietet Publikationsdienstleistungen für Journale und Konferenzveröffentlichungen und implementiert dabei internationale best practises basierend auf dem DOAJ Seal, den Mitgliedschaftskriterien der OASPA, Plan S und COPE.

Die TIB startet eine neue Open-Access-Plattform, auf der wissenschaftliche Zeitschriften und Konferenzpublikationen veröffentlicht werden können. Damit unterstreicht sie ihre Ausrichtung auf Open Access und ergänzt die Angebote zur Open-Access-Transformation um eine maßgebliche neue Säule. Als Partner der Forschung setzt sich die TIB für professionelle, optimal zugängliche und weithin sichtbare Veröffentlichungen ein.

TIB is about to launch a new open access service on which scientific journals and conference publications can be published. In doing so, it is underlining its orientation towards Open Access and adding a significant new pillar to its activities to support the transition to Open Access. As a research partner, TIB is committed to professional, optimally accessible and widely visible publications.

The new year begins with good news: The International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) and its partners announce the founding of a new scientometric open access journal. The journal will be managed by the former board members of the renowned Journal of Informetrics, who have collectively resigned from this Elsevier journal and who would rather continue their work in an open access context after a journal flipping. TIB supports this process by taking on a significant share of the transformation costs.

Das neue Jahr beginnt mit einer guten Nachricht: Die Fachgesellschaft International Society for Scientometrics and Informetrics (ISSI) gibt mit Partnern die Neugründung einer szientometrischen Open-Access-Zeitschrift bekannt. Die Zeitschrift wird von den bisherigen Board-Mitgliedern des renommierten Journal of Informetrics verantwortet werden, die kollektiv bei dieser Elsevier-Zeitschrift zurückgetreten sind und im Rahmen eines Journal Flipping die Arbeit lieber in einem Open-Access-Kontext fortsetzen wollten. Die TIB unterstützt diesen Prozess durch eine signifikante Beteiligung an den Transformationskosten.
