Save the Date: Second Workshop on “Open Research Knowledge Graph”

On November 22, 2018, TIB will host the second workshop on Open Research Knowledge Graph (ORKG) as a post-conference event immediately following the 13th International Conference on Data Integration in the Life Sciences 2018 (DILS2018).

The first workshop was held on March 20, 2018. Attended by 40 participants, the workshop was a first opportunity to provide an overview of the ORKG vision; for TIB to provide position statements on a possible architecture, user interface, and the conceptualization of core concepts; actively advance these aspects in parallel workgroups; as well as collect thoughts on knowledge graphs for research from external participants.

For the the second workshop on November 22 we plan to extend and diversify external participation to potentially include representatives from the scientific community (following DILS in particular but not limited to Life Sciences); representatives from key projects such as OpenAIRE and FREYA; as well as representatives from libraries, research infrastructures and the publishing sector. Following a keynote and a status update on recent developments, we plan a range of stimulus talks by external participants. Time will be reserved for parallel workgroups. We plan to close the day with a panel discussion.

The current draft agenda can be found here.

Updates, also on registration, will follow after the Summer break.

Update 1: A registration at DILS is not required to take part at the ORKG workshop.
